Case Studies
To demonstrate how use of the Self-Assessment Audit Checklists translates into practice, provided are four real-world examples of tourism related, Queensland based service operators who have engaged with these tools. These providers are committed to making their destination more accessible for visitors who are blind or have low vision. They used the audits to assess their current facilities and services, and subsequently as a starting point for their ‘next steps’.
The broad range of service providers involved in the case studies provided Braille House with 1. feedback for the audits’ refinement prior to publication, and 2. information to share with other providers interested in undertaking the inclusion and accessibility journey for their visitors who are blind or have low vision.
This information forms the basis of the cases studies provided.
